We have several options for you to make payments to us. Choose the method that is most convenient for you:
- Deposit cash or check at a nearby Independent Bank branch. We will provide our account number. To complete this payment, a picture of the receipt must be emailed to us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
- Mail check to our business address, which is listed here. The date the envelope is received is the date that the payment is considered paid, so please allow enough time for mail delivery. Mail delivery being slow is not an excuse for rent that is late. Checks must be made out to Strike First Rentals. If a tenant’s rent check is returned from the bank for insufficient funds, there is a $50.00 change, and checks will no longer be accepted from that tenant.
- Use money transfer at any Walmart location. Any fees associated with the transaction will be paid by the tenant. To complete this payment, a picture of the reference number on the receipt must be emailed to us at email@example.com.
- Pay with ACH (bank transfer) in your online tenant portal.
Rent is always due on the 1st of the month. There is a 5-day grace period for all rent payments, including holidays and weekends. That means that tenants have until the 5th to pay the rent without a late fee. If we do not receive rent by the 5th, you will be charge a late fee of $10 per day, including the grace period. So if you pay rent on the 6th, there is a $50 late fee. If you pay rent on the 10th, there is a $90 late fee. There is no maximum for late fees, they will continue to accumulate until the rent is paid in full.
If rent is not paid by the 7th, a “notice to vacate” will be placed on your front door on the 8th. If rent is not paid by the 13th, the eviction process begins.
